Weigh yourself daily! I weigh myself daily, it keeps me accountable and on point. I have gotten to know my body and how it reacts during certain times. I have done this for my entire life (14 yrs old). Some might think that this is a tad obsessive, but it really keeps me in line.
It has shown me that our bodies do fluctuate. I might go up a pound or two and that is ok. I might stay the same for a day or so. I have studied these results. I chart them in one of my many notebooks. I have learned that I might have had foods that were too salty or not enough water. I might not have gone to the bathroom, like I usually do. I am not exercising enough. All of these things, affect the number on the scale.
When I am off of my diet, on what I call a detour, there is always a number that I do not allow myself to pass. The number changes the more weight that I lose. My scale is my friend, not my enemy.
