Exercise is vital in helping us achieve our goal weight. Exercise improves our bodies and our minds. It tones us. It relaxes us. It makes us feel good.
Stop procrastinating! Start moving! We cannot go from couch potato to marathon runner in a day, a week or a month. The journey to getting fit will start out slowly. We will begin with baby steps, but the important thing is to get started.
I do not love to exercise. I do at times procrastinate and do everything, but exercise. What I have started to do is that I wear my pedometer 24-7…almost! I even put it on when I get up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night.
I love wearing my pedometer. I love doing my 10,000 steps per day. If I reach my 10,000 steps per day, I know that I was not a couch potato. Some days, I do a little less and some days I do a bit more. I do strive to reach my weekly goal of 70,000 steps.
Another thing that I have learned about exercise is that there has to be some form of exercise that you are passionate about. I know that I am passionate about dance. When I am dancing; I feel great. I can do it for hours. I love the music, the rhythm…
Do you love to hike, swim, walk, ride your bike, the feel of the weights in your hands? Remember that if you are passionate about it, you will do it…Start moving!
As always with diets and exercise programs, you must follow your doctor’s advice.
What form of exercise are you passionate about?
