Well, here I am again…getting better and much more energetic. I cannot believe that I am actually writing this, but I did miss my exercise routine. When you are not feeling well and you are not able to exercise it makes you feel worse.
I was never a couch potato, not even at 350 lbs. I danced at that weight, with the BEST dance troupe on earth, in my opinion…Spectrum in Motion, Hartford, CT. Miss Olivia choreographed incredible dance routines. She always kept in mind that we were not all in “dancer’s” bodies!
After my Gastric Bypass surgery all I could do was walk a few steps at a time. During the past 6 years, I had started working out very regularly. I line danced. I took ballroom dancing. I played tennis. I walked 60 minutes in the pool, but my favorite form of exercise was my Zumba class. I loved the Latin music. I loved the tempo and rhythm. I really enjoyed the sweat. Then, I started to get sick.
Well, tomorrow I start my exercise and weight-loss journey again. I will get to 199 lbs. I am not sure when I will reach this goal of mine, but I know that I will get there. In order to get there faster, I MUST exercise. I must keep moving. I must do my 10,000 steps per day.
I get bored easily. I cannot be as determined and dedicated as some exercise “fanatics” like my husband, Mo, but I will exercise. I will do something every day. I will make it!
You can do it too! Come join me…start moving.
