Changes occur in life every day! As a foodaholic and emotional eater changes are not good, at least not for me. I love being in control. I like having a set routine when it comes to my dieting. Changes are ways for excuses to take over.
You are feeling sick so you do not plan your weekly food plan. You begin to stop following your success techniques. The puzzle pieces begin to fall apart. You might stop weighing yourself, you might not drink your liquids, you forget to take your vitamins, you do not exercise. Little by little you begin to slip; you are out of control.
You feel down, sad, angry, depressed and lost. You begin to eat foods that give you comfort. You procrastinate!
Why are you on this losing journey? Do you want to be successful? Do you want to be thin and healthy? Begin to journal everything. Write down what you eat. Where are you eating? How are you feeling? Are you hungry? Focus! Concentrate!
Begin putting the puzzle pieces together again. Take it one piece at a time. I find that the more pieces I can put together the better I feel. I begin moving in the right direction. I try with the easiest parts of the puzzle first. Wear my pedometer. Take my vitamins. Drink my liquids. Exercise.
What are the pieces to your puzzle?
